What are covenants? Why is it important that I make and keep covenants with God? The real power comes from keeping the covenent by increased faith, hope, self-esteem and self-assurance that God will lift me and protect me.
15 For they have strayed from mine ordinances, and have broken mine everlasting covenant;
16 They seek not the Lord to establish his righteousness, but every man walketh in his own way, and after the image of his own god, whose image is in the likeness of the world, and whose substance is that of an idol, which waxeth old and shall perish in Babylon, even Babylon the great, which shall fall.
If I break covenants with God, I am pursuing a different God. I’m no longer testifying that I believe. The act moves my heart and mind away from God and light and instead resets my attention on trying to find some other God to replace the true and living God. In short, the best way to bear your testimony of God is by keeping the covenants that you’ve made with God. The simplicity of the plan of salvation allows me to choose for myself if I’ll bear testimony of him every day or not.

What do I learn about the Savior’s redeeming love for me? What words or phrases express this love especially well?
- Isaiah reminds us that the Lord will be merciful towards us. He has “pleadeth” the cause of his people.

What does the Savior offer to people who seek Him?
- That we will feel redeemed because we are redeemed. We will return signing unto Zion with joy and holiness upon my head! Those that seek Him obtain gladness and joy! Sorry and mourning passes away!

What can I do to more faithfully “wait” for the Savior and His promised blessings?
- Awake everyday by searching for the spirit everyday! It will give me strength. Go to the temple often where the unclean are not permitted to enter and find the strength that is promised to those who keep the covenants entered into there.
